Description

Participants in the Seacoast Center Montessori Elementary I and I-II programs may receive graduate credit from from Plymouth State University’s College of Graduate Studies for their course work. Additional credit hours of university coursework may be taken online, at the Plymouth, NH main campus, or at one of many off-campus locations throughout New Hampshire, including Bedford, Concord, Conway, Lebanon or Portsmouth. This additional coursework satisfies the requirements for the Master of Education in Elementary Education with a focus in Montessori Instructional Strategies. A special rate per credit hour has been extended to Seacoast Center students and alliance partners for credit for the Montessori portion of the program. Additional required courses (three core courses and two elective courses) and university fees are at standard PSU rates.

For individuals who already hold a master's degree, coursework may be applied toward the curriculum specialization portion of the CAGS program in Educational Leadership.

Persons who received AMS Elementary Certification through Seacoast Center or Elementary or Early Childhood Certification via alliance partners in 2000 or later only may participate in this program. Individual portfolio assessment for persons holding other MACTE-accredited credentials is available on a case-by-case basis. Fees for processing portfolios apply.

Kate Coltin, Graduate Program Liaison, by e-mail at katecoltin.seacoast@gmail.com.
